VELDSKOEN®’S TRIBUTE TO GAME OF THRONES FINAL SEASON

The HBO drama that has had everyone hooked for years, has just wormed its way back into our lives. Winter is coming and with VELDSKOEN®, we’ll make sure you’re ready for anything!

It doesn’t matter where you are, there WILL be someone speaking about Game of Thrones. The fan favourite has made its way back into our hearts and for the next few months it will be a subject spoken about at every event. Seeing as though we are heading into Winter, it seemed fitting for VELDSKOEN® to give their spin on Winter attire – Game of Thrones edition. We thought it would be a good idea to link each colour from the ‘Heritage’ and ‘Chelsea boot’ range to one of the seven kingdoms in the iconic TV series.

House Tyrell of Highgarden (Lowveld)

Let’s begin with one of the more ‘tranquil’ houses in the series – the house Tyrell of Highgarden. Seeing as though their crest is a golden rose on a green field, it’s only fitting that their VELDSKOEN® would be the green Lowveld. The house is known for having a vast and fertile region located in Southwestern Westeros – they are in touch with nature and enjoy the act of gardening, PERFECT!

House Stark of Winterfell (Farmer)

The Starks rule over the North region of Westeros. The family is known as the ‘star family’ in the series from the very first series. Within the family is Ned Stark's bastard son, John Snow. Seeing as though John Snow is a fan favourite, we had to pair this lineage with VELDSKOEN®’s very own ‘fan favourite’; the farmer greys – their crest also happens to be grey!

House Targaryen of Dragon Stone (Safari)

The house of the ‘Mother of Dragons’ – Daenerys Targaryen. The crest is black and red and they were known as the ruling house of the seven kingdoms in Westeros for three centuries. This makes the house perfect to pair with the timeless and classic black soled ‘safari’ VELDSKOEN®.

House Lannister of Casterly Rock (Pinotage)

One of the richest and most powerful families in the kingdom. The crest is a golden lion on a crimson field. This is fitting for Pinotage, red VELDSKOEN®, as the wine itself is very ‘rich’ and bold in flavour. The Lannisters are infamous in Game of Thrones and a family we all love to hate – this is not the case with the red VELDSKOEN®, a favourite sported by royalty and celebs!
