TAKING BLACK FRIDAY TO A NEW LEVEL
This year we decided to put a stop to the infamous manic discounting by using the attention normally lavished on Black Friday, as a force for good.
Instead of offering products to customers at discounted prices, we simply just gave them away. We created this initiative and called it ‘Giving Friday’ where we effectively gave 100% off the price of a pair of Heritage Veldskoen shoes. There was just one catch - you had to give that pair to someone else.
We put aside R100 000 worth of shoes from our Heritage range for this initiative. South Africans who took part in Giving Friday had to visit our website, submit their details and the details of the person they wanted to give a pair of shoes to. 100 winners were randomly selected and notified on Friday, 10th December that someone has gifted them a pair of brand-new Heritage Veldskoen.

Veldskoen CEO, Nick Dreyer expressed his sentiment, “This campaign made us so happy; we had the opportunity to participate in a joyful activity that in a small way made a positive impact. The act of giving is so meaningful and spreads kindness.”
